A playful juxtaposition of function and frivolity, “The Bling Utility” is the perfect moniker for MODES’ new ten-piece capsule collaboration with Italy’s famously romantic Blumarine.
A playful juxtaposition of function and frivolity, “The Bling Utility” is the perfect moniker for MODES’ new ten-piece capsule collaboration with Italy’s famously romantic Blumarine. Designed by the label’s creative director Nicola Brognano, the collection launched during Milan Fashion Week in tandem with Blumarine’s Spring-Summer 2024 runway show with a spectacularly attended event at MODES’ Piazza Risorgimento boutique – one of four physical locations selected to exclusively stock the capsule, along with MODES stores in Paris, St. Moritz and Cagliari. (It’s also shoppable online, of course, at MODES.COM.)
DJed by Evissimax and attended by hundreds of guests and dozens of VIPs and industry insiders, the “The Bling Utility” event also celebrated the launch of a look book campaign.
The presentation showcased Brognano’s latest takes on Blumarine’s quintessential creations: cargo-inspired, rhinestone-enhanced spins on wool suiting met flirtatious sparkling denim sets and feminine details – ruffles, 3D cut roses, and tulle, to name a few – contrasted with an oversized merino twist on Blumarine’s iconic Bluvi cardigan.
